Fortinet and Nvidia Strengthen the Foundations of Secure AI Infrastructure



As artificial intelligence becomes central to modern enterprise operations the pressure on data centers to deliver both extreme performance and strong security has never been greater. In response to this challenge cybersecurity company Fortinet and AI computing leader Nvidia have partnered to integrate security directly into AI infrastructure creating a model where protection is built into the system rather than added as an afterthought.

The collaboration focuses on embedding Fortinet’s security capabilities into Nvidia’s data processing units which are designed to handle networking and infrastructure tasks in high performance environments. By running advanced firewall and segmentation functions at the infrastructure level these systems reduce the burden on traditional CPUs allowing AI workloads such as training and inference to run at full speed without compromising safety. This approach reflects a growing recognition that conventional security tools struggle to keep pace with the scale and complexity of AI driven data centers.

For organizations building large scale AI environments security gaps can be costly. Massive data flows complex workloads and shared resources increase the risk of breaches lateral movement and performance bottlenecks. Integrating security directly into accelerated hardware enables continuous inspection and policy enforcement while maintaining low latency and high throughput.
