Google Chrome Will End Support for macOS Monterey in July 2026

Google has announced that its popular Chrome browser will stop supporting macOS Monterey by July 2026. The final version to support Monterey will be Chrome 150. After that point users on Monterey will no longer receive updates including security patches and new features. While Chrome may continue to run on older Macs it will become increasingly risky to use without regular updates. Google recommends upgrading to macOS Ventura or later to continue receiving updates and security improvements. For users whose Macs cannot run newer versions of macOS alternative browsers like Safari or Firefox may be considered. The move aligns with Google's policy of phasing out support for operating systems that have reached the end of their lifecycle
