The FMGE 2026 December session was conducted on January 17 with candidates appearing for two papers covering pre clinical para clinical and clinical subjects. Paper 1 focused on anatomy physiology biochemistry pathology microbiology pharmacology and forensic medicine and was reported to be of moderate difficulty. Students found most questions manageable though a few required careful conceptual understanding. Paper 2 tested clinical knowledge in medicine surgery obstetrics and gynaecology pediatrics ophthalmology ENT orthopaedics dermatology psychiatry anaesthesiology radiodiagnosis and radiotherapy. This paper was also considered moderate with some questions demanding deeper clinical reasoning. While the official answer key has not yet been released coaching institutes have published memory based answer keys for reference. The qualifying cutoff for FMGE remains 150 marks out of 300 with results expected by February 17.
