Sachin Pilot is set to visit Chhattisgarh today as part of an important organisational exercise aimed at strengthening party activities and reviewing the progress of the Special Intensive Revision campaign in the state. His schedule includes visits to Dhamtari, Kanker and Jagdalpur where he will meet local leaders, interact with workers and examine on-ground preparations related to the voter list revision process. The visit holds significance as the SIR campaign has become a central issue in state level political discussions with both ruling and opposition parties closely monitoring its execution.
Pilot’s tour begins with his arrival in Raipur from where he will proceed to Dhamtari to participate in a Constitution Day programme. This will be followed by a detailed review meeting on the SIR initiative which has been launched to ensure accurate verification of voter information. Many party workers and local representatives have raised concerns regarding possible inaccuracies during the verification process making Pilot’s presence important for addressing organisational challenges and boosting confidence among ground level workers.
From Dhamtari Pilot will move to Kanker where he is expected to engage with district leaders and assess their progress in coordinating the campaign. His visit aims to motivate the party cadre and ensure that each district is following proper procedures in voter list correction. In the evening he will reach Jagdalpur where he will continue the review on the next day along with additional meetings focused on strengthening internal communication and planning.
The SIR campaign has received attention due to allegations of irregularities including concerns about incorrect deletion of valid voter names. Opposition voices have demanded a more transparent process and a possible extension of deadlines especially considering the ongoing agricultural activities in several districts. In response the party has created a dedicated control room and appointed coordinators to oversee the work at the booth level.
